The Political Drama of Kedah MCA Chairman. 马华吉打州联委会主席的政治闹剧

The principal of Sekolah Menengah Bukit Selambau, Kedah had created yet another controversial issue some time ago, September, 2010 by telling the non –Muslim students who eat during the puasa month of Ramadhan to go back to China for not respecting the fasting month for Muslim. This had no doubt angered non-Muslims parents in Kedah and also the whole nation generally.

On September 21, Kedah State MCA chairman, Dato Chong Itt Chew made a press statement in MALAYSIAKINI that if the principal , Ungku Aznan Ismail, is not transferred to another school, there is a possibility that party may take drastic action, like organising a protest in front of the school.

I suggest three option for punishment, should be done.

1.That it is, not merely to transfer the racist teacher or government servant from the post, but if possible freeze their pension.

2.Charge them under Penal Code for causing disharmony, maybe racial unrest in the country.

3.Arrest him/her for uttering seditious slurs under Seditious Act in this multiracial Malaysia.

This is a very serious case and let it not be a precedent for future racist slurs to happen again, be it anyone and to any race. The government have been trying hard all these 50 over years to bring unity is a failure. If not whats the motive of 1Malaysia initiative of the Najib administration.

We must also note that prevous home minister had said ISA can be use to protect someone., and for MCA to protest in front of the school in Bukit Selambau, why not suggest the present Home Minister, Hishamuddin to also protect the school principal too.

Also that the present MCA President, Dato Seri Chua Soi Lek can even afford to say “Namewee should face the music” for his racial video rap on the youtube.

I feel very pitiful for Chua Soi Lek and the Deputy Education Minister Dato Wee Ka Siong to become so helpless until to even have to involve the Kedah State Chairman Dato Chong Itt to create the impression that he is hero to the Chinese community in Kedah. His statement in Malaysiakini on Tuesday, 21 st September, is another case of political bangkrupcy and MCA cheap political drama. Dato Chong the prevous ADUN of Kota Darul Aman should retire for good.

DAP Kedah stand is clear, the demand is action rather than transfer. UMNO/BN just pretend not to understand the real desires and dream of the non-Malays and Chinese in particular…….a fair and reasonable non racial policy for all!! The people have seen so many racial slur keep coming up all these years, even in parliament at one time when Sdr. Lim Kit Siang was even told to go back to China. Racial slurs comes even from police personnel, and maybe more from government servants and goes unreported.

The statement made by Kedah MCA in Malaysiakini, also shows Dato Wee Ka Siong cannot do anything to ketuanan UMNO and that PM Najib 1Malaysia is just a rheoteric after all.



2010年8月，我国再度出现带有强烈种族色彩的敏感言论。吉打州武吉士南卯国中校长，温古阿兹南不满华族生于斋戒月期间在校内进食，在8月18日的集会上羞辱华族学生，更以斋戒月为由禁止学生进食，还建议学生若不满可买机票回中国，消息一出，无疑地，“回中国”论，激起了华裔家长的不满及反弹声浪，再次引起轩然大波。

9月21日，马华全国中委兼亚罗士打区会主席拿督张日州更已表明施压，若教育局未能将前者调职，继续掌校，该党将采取后续行动，甚至在拉队到校门口抗议。

至于发表种族主义言论的掌校者该承受怎样的惩罚，我有3个建议：

1．不仅要调离种族主义的教师/公务人员，并且尽有可能的话，冻结犯事者的退休金、恩奉金等。

2 以违反刑法典之名(Penal Code) 指控该校长，因为此极端的言论将破坏国民团结，种族和谐及引发国内乱。
3．以发表煽动性种族主义言论为由，援引《煽动法令》(Akta Hasutan) 控告该校长。

发表种族主义言论在多元化种族的国家是件极为严重的事，伤害各族感受及破坏种族和谐者必须受到严厉的惩罚，无论他是巫裔，华裔还是印裔。50年以来，政府试图将国民统一团结起来的用心良苦，在我国最近接二连三的种族事件下，显得徒劳无功。而此校长的行为更是与我国首相纳吉的“一个马来西亚”理念背道而驰。

我国前任内阁部长曾说过以内安法令来逮捕一个人是一种保护。那么，既然马华扬言要纠察示威，那我们建议现任内阁部长希山慕丁尽快动用内安法令保护温姑阿兹南！

最让我们感慨的是，马华总会长蔡细厉医生竟然不惜批评网络歌手黄明志本属反种族歧视的作品，为黄明志的作品贴上了“种族主义”的标签。甚至认为黄明志应该为此受到应有的惩责。

我为蔡细厉医生和拿督魏家祥感到悲哀，他们是那么的无奈与无助，直至需要涉及到拿督张日洲来为他们打造“华社英雄”的形象。他于9月21日在当今大马所发表的评论更是另一项政治破产，一幕马华上演的政治戏码。

吉坡行动党的立场很明确，我们需要的是采取严厉的行动，而不只是调职那么简单。国政似乎无法理解我们非土著/华裔需要和向往的是什么， 我们需要的是一个公平，公正，无论种族，不分肤色的政治理念！最近几年，种族主义之说，种族歧视言论不断涌现，连 Sdr.林吉祥也曾在国会成为种族言论下的羔羊之一。让我们感到遗憾的是，这些激进言论竟是出自警务人员、公务人员、及受高等教育的教育人士口中，真正的数据为多少，还有所保留。

从吉打马华在当今大马所发表的言论来看，我们不难发现，拿督魏家祥对巫统特权也束手无策，而首相的“一个马来西亚”也不过是个美丽的口号，华丽的辞藻而已。

Majlis penyampaian sumbangan untuk rakyat miskin kawasan DUN Kota Darul Aman dan DUN Angkat Derga.

Masa adalah pukul 12.000 petang pada hari Jumaat, 3hb. September 2010, di mana saya telah mengadakan suatu majlis menyampaikan bantuan untuk keperluan rakyat miskin di kawasan Kota Darul Aman dan Dun Angkat Derga di hadapan surau rumah pangsa di Pekan Simpang Kuala. Kesemua nya yang telah saya beri adalah seramai 100 orang rakyat berugama Islam. Sumbangan ini adalah disampaikan oleh Pusat Khidmat saya sendiri . Jumlah sumbangan saya adalh sebanyak Rm 4000.00. Mereka ini adalah rakyat yang kurang bernasib baik dari kedua dua kawasan Dun Derga dan Kota Darul Aman. Saya ingin lihat supaya mereka ini dapat juga melalui bulan Ramadhan al Mubarak dan hari raya aidil fitri dengan bebanan yang lebih kurang. Yang membantu saya untuk menjayakan majlis tersebut termasuk Ali Majlis DAP Sdr. Chow dan sebilangan ketua ketua kampong dari DAP, PKR dan Pas.

Walaupun nilai barangan ini tidak begitu besar,saya percaya mereka ini dapat merasai hari raya aidil fitri akan datang ini lebih bermakna lagi.

M'sia at a crossroad: Immoral Soi Lek slammed over Namewee

The writing is on the wall for MCA president Chua Soi Lek and if party members are smart, they will call another of their famous EGMs and throw him out before he does more damage to their party and the Chinese community, pundits said.

Soi Lek drew unprecedented anger from the community when on Sunday he made another major gaffe by calling popular rapper Namewee vulgar and irresponsible. The torrent of rage that flooded back would have necessitated an immediate apology in many democracies but in Malaysia, where MCA has to toe the political line set by coalition boss Umno, Soi Lek is expected to get off the hook.
In fact many believe he was “under orders” to help Umno – especially the hawks led by Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former premier Mahathir Mohamad - rally Malay support against the political opposition, in particular the Islamic-based PAS.

But in their haste to chase for fading Malay popularity, the group has also stomped on Prime Minister Najib Razak’s multiracial 1Malaysia plan, underscoring the crossroad that the nation has reached and the crucial direction it must now select.

“After 53 years of independence (from British rule) and nation-building, we still have people who propagate racism. It shows there is still fertile ground in Umno where racism is flourishing,” PKR vice president Lee Boon Chye told Malaysia Chronicle.
“If Umno continues to rule Malaysia, this is the path of destruction that the nation will be pushed into. Malaysians must make a stand – is this the sort of leadership they want? Is a closed-door racist Malaysia the sort of country they want to live in because this is what will happen? Malaysia will be shunned by the world as an apartheid nation if it doesn’t come to its senses and stop the rot.”
A coward and a hypocrite

Namewee, whose full name is Wee Meng Chee, had lambasted a school principal Siti Inshah for hurling racist remarks at her non-Malay pupils. She had allegedly told the Chinese students to return to China and likened the Indian ones to dogs. Siti Inshah was not the only one, her colleague in Kedah was also said to have made similarly racist remarks a few days after her.
However, Namewee’s tape which contained the foul language of his generation of rap musicians drew the attention of a 'hungry' Umno leadership. With the help of their media, Namewee's tape was sensationalized and he was hauled up by the police to have his statement recorded on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Umno has been careful not to act against the two school principals, both of whom are Malay. The predominantly Malay teaching community is one of the party’s traditional electorate and Umno leaders do not want to offend it.

“Vulgar not, it is pop music and a lot of it is subjective. Many parents may not like and it should be considered X-rated or PG material but it is not seditious. Now, that is political. Why should the state take such heavy-handed action against Namewee and what is the reason for the double-standards in not going after the principals,” Batu MP Tian Chua told Malaysia Chronicle.
“As for Chua Soi lek, it shows him up as a coward and hypocrite. He did not dare to stand up for Namewee or insist on action to be taken against the racist headmistresses. He also doesn’t dare to speak up against the Umno warlords or antagonize Muhyiddin and Mahathir. His own political survival is at stake and like the MCA presidents before him, he has resorted to pleasing the Umno bosses to keep his hold on power even though he is sacrificing the Chinese community in the process.

Angry outburst
Indeed, the comments that have flooded cyberspace do call for an immediate evaluation of the embattled Soi Lek's tenure as head of the Malaysian Chinese Association. His sex scandal has flared up again amid renewed criticism that his immorality made him an suitable critic for Namewee. Some of the comments that typified the anger that he roused include:

- Some1 featured in a porno video pontificating about some1 else supposedly "vulgar" in another!

- Mr Chua Soi Lek, you have just condemned MCA into "Make Chinese Angry". Well done. No wonder your rating is going down and down.

- In news report on TV tonight; you mentioned Namewee is 'un-cultured' for using vulgar words.....
I want to ask you this; how do you define 'un-cultured'?

- Is it some kind of a joke that CSL is trying to be a person with high morality? All i can say is he is trying too hard.




Which video clip is worse - Soi Lek's or Namewee's
In 2007, Soi Lek had to resign as Health Minister after a DVD showed him having sex with his mistress. The scenes of adultery were widely circulated around cyberspace and at one time, his foes in the BN government even considered prosecuting him for having unnatural sex with his female friend.

“Yes, nobody really wants to rake up the past. But when you try to hit someone else unfairly and just for selfish reasons, then vengeance will follow you. This is truly a case of the pot calling the kettle black,” said Boon Chye.

“Soi Lek has no moral standing to criticize Namewee. No matter how vulgar Namewee was in his expression, it cannot be worse than Soi Lek’s video. Just ask youselves, if our children listened to Namewee’s tape and then watched Soi Lek’s video, which one would be the greater negative influence.”
